I didn't find a specific article dealing with this problem, however it is mentioned in an article about adverbs. Here is an excerpt from Helpforenglish.
Studenti často chybují v tom, že za slovesy LOOK, SOUND, FEEL apod. používají příslovce. V češtině je to tak správně (vypadá překrásně, zní to zajímavě atd.) V Angličtině však ze těmito slovesy používáme přídavná jména! She looks pretty. (Vypadá krásně.) - nikoliv She looks prettily. |

Stavová a Dynamická slovesa - this article is specially for GLENN. I mean, of course he knows all of that but he told me the other day he was going to gather all the information about dynamic and state verb, so this might help. All is in Czech, though.
